Our history

NCY, Time Square, Vertiseit

Vertiseit was started by current CEO Johan Lind, board member Adrian Nelje and CTO Oskar Edespong in 2008 in Varberg. The ambition was to become part of the digital transformation and create innovative products and services for digital communication.

Since the start, the Group has grown under profitability, which has been achieved mainly through organic growth and through acquisitions of several companies that have been successfully integrated.

In 2013, Vertiseit acquired ClearSign with well-known customers such as Stena Line and Burger King. The company had an installed base of 4,000 systems following the acquisition, and Vertiseit opened a local office in Stockholm. In 2016, Vertiseit acquired the company UCUS, which specializes in waiting room communication in dentistry and healthcare. Following the acquisitions, the above companies have been merged into Vertiseit’s current group.

In 2018, Vertiseit entered into a framework agreement with the Volvo Dealers’ Association (VHF) for Volvo Cars Sweden and AB Volvo for the Swedish network of dealers. Furthermore, the international collaboration with Lindex Sweden was developed. Tikkurila Sweden became a new customer together with Universeum, Actic Sweden, and Nokas, to name a few.

The subsidiary DISE International AB was acquired in June 2017 and is a global platform company in the market for Digital In-store. Founded in 2003 in Karlstad, Dise has resellers in over 30 countries and has several well-known global companies on its customer list, including Johnson & Johnson and The Absolut Company. In 2018, the Company completed a strategic acquisition of Display 4 AB, which had 2,000 systems installed on the Swedish market at the time of the acquisition. The acquisition also contributed to growth for the subsidiary Dise with new partners and increased installed base as a result.

In 2021, Grassfish Marketing Technologies GmbH, the market-leading platform company within Digital Signage in DACH, was acquired. Together, the company now took the position as the leading platform company within Retail Digital Signage in Europe.

The group has developed gradually from a market-oriented, development-driven total supplier - to a global platform company with an international network of full-fill partners.

In January 2022, the group structure will be implemented where Vertiseit AB will be a pure holding company at the same time as its operating activities are integrated with Grassfish. Together, Grassfish and Dise constitute the Group's market brands and are operated as separate subsidiaries.

“The new group structure enables global scalability and supports our accelerated acquisition agenda, which provides space for both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. With this, we are now well-positioned to achieve our long-term goal of becoming the world-leading platform company in Digital In-store 2026, ”says Johan Lind, CEO of Vertiseit. 2022-02-01
